- Complete the NYC Department of Education Mentoring Program Application and finger printing process.
- Attend 3-hours of training conducted by the Department of Education.
- Agree to mentor the same students from 10th grade through 12th grade.
- Agree that the mentee can visit the mentor’s work site twice a month after school for approximately two-hours. The day and time are mutually established by the mentor and mentee.
- Agree to participate in Mentor/Mentee group activities as planned during the academic school year annually. These activities usually occur on the weekends or after work hours.
- Attend mentor coordinator meetings to discuss your mentee/mentor relationship, problem-solve mentoring issues and plan group activities.
